PiOLED: Monochrome OLED Add-on for Raspberry Pi
Adafruit 128×32 PiOLED is just the most compact and small display you are looking for your Raspberry Pi Zero project.
This small OLED Add-on can fit onto all Raspberry Pi computers, granting you a tiny display. This product comes with 128×32 monochrome OLED and with sharp white pixels. As it uses only the I2C pins, plenty of GPIO connections are available for sensors, buttons, LEDs, etc. This OLED is nice, compact and it fits into any case.
Although the displays are little (they are only about 1″ diagonal), they are very readable thanks to the high contrast offered by the OLED display. There are 128×32 individual white OLED pixels on the screen. No backlight is necessary because the display itself makes its own light. As a consequence, less power is necessary to run the OLED, so the display can present such high contrast. This tiny display is noteworthy for its crispness.
The display is very easy to use. You can consult Adafruit Python library for the SSD1306 chipset. To draw images, text and anything else you like, consult the example code using the Python imaging library. You can do simple video or animations as tests showed 30 FPS update rates.
As it is completely pre-assembled and tested, only plug it in and just install the Python code. This product works with any Raspberry Pi computer and with the original Pi 1, B+, Pi 2, Pi 3, Pi 4 and Pi Zero, too. (Note: This product does not include Raspberry Pi boards.)
