The Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ is the latest development board in the Raspberry Pi 3 range.

Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ features are:

The Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ speed boost is very impressive as it has an updated quad-core system-on-chip (BCM2837 SoC) that now runs at 1.4GHz. The board’s performance was boosted from 1.2 GHz to 1.4 GHz thanks to this SoC that spins B0 along with the heat-spreader. This has affected also the memory performance. In this development board big programs will load pretty faster and also online videos will be played with ease.

The wireless networking chip has a chrome-plating around it that supports dual-band (2.4GHz and 5GHz) wireless networking, which enables data transmission’s speeding to be faster from wireless networks.

In this board model, it was included a USB Ethernet controller that makes available an hypothetical maximum of 300 Mbps Gigabit connectivity, although it is limited as it uses only one USB 2.0 channel.

If you don’t already have a power supply, we recommend using the official Raspberry Pi wall power supply with micro USB designed specifically for your Raspberry Pi board.

Without a separated power supply, the Raspberry Pi 3B+ can now be deployed on a network thanks to the Power over Ethernet (PoE) pins on the board. You will only need to connect those pins to a PoE HAT.

Lastly, compared to its predecessor, the Raspberry Pi 3B+ has its connectivity improved thanks to a dual-band radio module and an antenna design that were inspired by the RPi Zero W.
