Active Cooling device for the Raspberry Pi 5

The Raspberry Pi Active Cooler is an alternative cooling solution for when the Raspberry Pi 5 is subjected to prolonged heavy loads and is located outside its case.

This cooling device consists of a metal heat sink combined with a high-quality variable-speed fan, powered and controlled via the fan connector on the Raspberry Pi 5. Thanks to the spring-loaded pins, the device can be secured in the mounting holes on the Raspberry Pi board.

Heat from the Raspberry Pi 5’s CPU is conducted through the body and fins of the heat sink, while cool air blown by the fan reaches the fins to keep the Raspberry Pi 5 at optimal temperatures. Furthermore, the thermal pads used by the cooler ensure a solid thermal connection with the Raspberry Pi 5.

The fan can be controlled via software, allowing it to remain switched off (and therefore silent) until temperatures reach a specified threshold.
