This display is an ultra-thin flexible electronic ink panel with grayscale and a futuristic look. It is the perfect product for curved labels and wearable displays such as smartwatches.

The 2.9″ display offers excellent readability, fantastic viewing angles, and extremely low power consumption. Additionally, the image remains on the screen even when it is powered off.

It is advisable to mount this flexible eInk display onto a solid curved surface to maintain the chosen shape, because despite its flexibility, continuous shape changes will inevitably shorten the display’s lifespan. It can be mounted on many different objects, such as bracelets, jars, containers, and much more. It is also recommended to handle the end of the display with care, as this part is somewhat delicate because it houses the 24-pin flat cable.

The Adafruit eInk Breakout Friend, along with other useful features, supports partial updates and acts as an interface between your microcontroller and this eInk display. However, you can also use this breakout or any other type of hardware as an interface between the microcontroller and the display.
