Raspberry Pi 7″ touchscreen display
This 7″ Touchscreen display for Raspberry Pi will help you create all-in-one, integrated projects as for example tablets, infotainment systems and embedded projects.
The display is 800 x 480 pixels and is connected by way of an adapter board that handles power and signal conversion, too.
The only two connections needed to the Raspberry Pi are: a ribbon cable to connect to the DSI port and power from the Raspberry Pi’s GPIO port. The DSI port is present on all Raspberry Pi’s.
Physical keyboard or mouse are not necessary because the latest Raspbian OS grants complete functionality. It integrates touchscreen drivers with an on-screen keyboard and support for 10-finger touch.
- You can turn your Raspberry Pi into a touch screen tablet, a standalone device, or an infotainment system.
- Truly Interactive: a virtual ‘on screen’ keyboard is supported by the latest software drivers, this means it is not necessary to plug in a mouse and keyboard.
- You can create ‘Internet of Things’ (IoT) devices that includes a visual display, such as home automation devices with touch screen capability. Just connect your Raspberry Pi and interact with the display thanks to a Python script you can develop.
- If you want an easier way to learn and program on the Raspberry Pi you can consult several available touch enabled educational software and programs.
