Transparent circular 13.56MHz RFID/NFC tag – 1K

This 13.56MHz Classic circular tag is transparent and is the ideal product whenever you need a small proximity tag. Although this tag is mainly used for laundry projects, you can use it for a wide variety of identification projects.

This Classic tag is transparent and features a tiny RFID chip with a built-in antenna. The reader/writer can power it passively from a distance of a couple of inches.

Almost all 13.56MHz RFID/NFC readers can read them; just ensure they are capable of handling ISO/IEC 14443 Type A cards and not other encoding standards, as this is the only requirement for them to work.

Tests have shown that these RFID tags work perfectly with both the PN532 NFC/RFID breakout board and the Adafruit NFC/RFID shield for Arduino, which you can use to read and write data to the EEPROM memory inside the tag.

A notable feature of RFID chips is that they can be written to and rewritten over 100,000 times and are also capable of storing up to 1 KB of data divided into blocks.

These RFID tags have a permanent 4-byte ID embedded in the chip itself, which cannot be changed, helping you to distinguish one tag from any other.

These transparent circular tags use what was once the standard NFC chip, namely an ISO/IEC 14443 Type A chipset. New-generation mobile phones and tablets no longer support this type of chip since, around 2014, the NFC Forum decided to discontinue support for it. This, however, is irrelevant unless you wish to use this RFID tag with mobile phones or tablets.

• Unique 4-byte identifier embedded in the chip.

• Diameter 2.54 × 0.01 cm / diameter 1″ × 0.03″.
• 0.9 g / 0.03 oz.
• Works at a distance of approximately 2″ from the reader.
