White circular 13.56MHz RFID/NFC tag – 1K

This 13.56MHz circular RFID/NFC tag features a tiny RFID chip and an antenna. It can be passively powered by the reader/writer from a distance of a couple of inches and can be used for various purposes, although this tag is usually employed primarily for laundry-related projects.

Please note that almost all 13.56 MHz RFID/NFC readers can read this type of tag; the only requirement is that the readers must support ISO/IEC 14443 Type A cards and not other encryption standards, such as FeliCa.

Not only can these chips be written to, they can be rewritten over 100,000 times. Furthermore, their storage capacity is up to 1 KB of data in writable EEPROM, divided into blocks. Another feature of these tags is that they have a permanent 4-byte ID integrated into the chip, which cannot be changed. This allows you to easily distinguish one tag from another.

This white circular RFID/NFC tag uses a traditional ISO/IEC 14443 Type A chipset. Since 2014, the NFC Forum has decided to no longer support this classic chipset. Consequently, newer-generation mobile phones and tablets no longer support it either. This, however, is irrelevant unless you wish to use this RFID tag with mobile phones and/or tablets.
