The Raspberry Pi 4 Model B is the latest development board in the Raspberry Pi computer range. Compared to the previous generation, the Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+, the RPi 4 B delivers significantly improved performance in terms of processor speed, multimedia capabilities, memory, and connectivity.

The RPi 4 B remains backward compatible with previous technologies and maintains similar power consumption.

The RPi 4 B provides users with desktop-level performance comparable to entry-level x86 PC systems.

Some of the most important features of the RPi 4 include: a high-performance quad-core 64-bit processor, dual-display support with resolutions up to 4K via a pair of micro-HDMI ports, hardware video decoding up to 4Kp60, 2GB of RAM, dual-band 2.4/5.0GHz wireless LAN, USB 3.0, Bluetooth 5.0, Gigabit Ethernet, and PoE capability (via a separate PoE HAT). Both Bluetooth and dual-band wireless LAN are modular compliance certified.
