MoPi 2: Hot-Swap Mobile Power for the Pi 2, Pi 3 and Pi 4 boards

MoPi-2 is mobile and 24/7 power for the Raspberry Pi 2, 3 and 4 boards. You will be covered anywhere, from up a hill, when cycling or for your home server.

The MoPi-2 features are:

• Two power inputs via standard screw terminals for: car power sockets, standard batteries, old laptop, supplies, wall adapters, solar panels and more.
• Hot-swap power replacement without stopping work.
• Shutdown the Raspberry Pi cleanly when batteries discharge.
• Right-angled power switch is accessible even when another PCB is stacked on top.
• If you attach either batteries and mains, you can use it as a UPS (uninterruptible power supply).
• Wide input voltage range: 6.5V to 24V 1.
• It can deliver up to 2.5A @ +5V to the Raspberry Pi and to attached additional PCBs or devices.
• Low power consumption: 15mA when working, 0.5mA when sleeping and also only 15 µA when off (more than 10 times less than the self discharge rate of an average battery).
• Auto-off when input voltage gets to 6.0V, this will protect the batteries from over-discharging.
• Additional 2-pin terminal to employ for an external battery charger (this is meant to be just a gate, because charging functionality actually depends solely on the charger itself).
• On-board LED indicators and on screen Linux system notifications.
• Configuration of multiple battery chemistries and also number of cells from a UI on the Raspberry Pi.
• Full API in Python, besides a shell-friendly command-line interface.
• Very low-profile, only 3.5 mm, bottom entry and a GPIO connector with 40-pin. It is possible to stack other boards, too, on top of the MoPi-2.
• PCB pads for external power switch and +5V.
• Control of external 5V relay.
• Two-way communication via the I2C bus.
• Remote power-off: you can tell the MoPi-2 to power the Raspberry Pi down when logged-in remotely (obviously, after a clean shutdown).
• Timer-based wake-up: you can to tell the MoPi-2 what time your Raspberry Pi has to wakeup. You then power it down and, at the set time, MoPi-2 will boot the Raspberry Pi.
• Supports Raspberry Pi 2 , Raspberry Pi 3, Raspberry Pi 3 B+ and also Raspberry Pi 4 B.
