Joy Bonnet for Raspberry Pi
Joy Bonnet is the most fun Bonnet youโve ever seen. Itโs a pocket-sized Adafruit product and an incredibly enjoyable little gaming controllerโhard to believe!
This Joy Bonnet fits perfectly on any Raspberry Pi Zero series board and gives you fantastic handheld video game controls. Once you install the script on your Raspberry Pi, the controls will work just like a keyboard, so you can easily use it with any emulator or media player.
Adafruit has found that Joy Bonnet performs best with RetroPie/EmulationStation. It can emulate NES and MAME games on a Raspberry Pi Zero, and other emulators that donโt require speeds above 1GHz also work well. Keep in mind that an N64 emulator will not run, as it requires significantly more power.
An additional advantage is that Joy Bonnet comes fully assembled, with no soldering required. You may need to solder headers onto your Raspberry Pi Zero, but once thatโs done, youโre ready to go. In theory, you could also use this Bonnet with Raspberry Pi A+, B+, 2, 3, or 4, but it would not be as compact or handy.
Please note that the Raspberry Pi Zero, HDMI cables, case, SD card, and display are NOT INCLUDED with this product.
