Pack of 5 NeoPixel Mini PCB
The NeoPixel Mini PCB is the tiniest NeoPixel breakout. You can add small and bright RGB pixels to your project.
The little PCB has a dimension of only 8mm x 10mm and two sets of three pads for soldering wires on the back.
These ultra-bright LEDs contains a constant-current driver right into the LED package.
The pixels are chainable: only 1 pin/wire is needed to control how many LEDs as you want.
These pixels hold full 24-bit colour ability while the controller chip takes care of the PWM.
Since the LED is extremely bright, to get the effects you want, you need less current/power.
The driver is constant current so if your battery power fluctuates a little or changes, it is not a problem.
Every pixel draws as much as 60mA (for full brightness white, all three RGB LEDs on). At 30 FPS, an Arduino is able to drive up to 500 pixels (after that it will run out of RAM). You can use ribbon cables to string them up to 6″ apart (after that, power droops and data corruption are likely to happen).
This product is a Pack of 5 NeoPixel Mini PCB. They are individually controllable pixel buttons.
In the following link, you will find a detailed NeoPixel Überguide by Adafruit that contains all you need to use NeoPixels in whatever shape and size, including easy to consult library and example code for Trinket/Gemma, the Arduino UNO/Duemilanove/Diecimila, Flora/Micro/Leonardo, Arduino Due and Arduino Mega/ADK (in all their versions).
