Vibrating Mini Motor Disc: for haptic feedback projects
This small buzzing motor is fantastic, and you may want a few of them for any of your haptic feedback projects.
This vibe motor is just a little disc, completely sealed up. This makes it easy to use and embed.
- Dimension: 10mm diameter, 2.7mm thick
- Voltage: 2V – 5V
- 5V current draw: 100mA, 4V current draw: 80mA, 3V current draw: 60mA, 2V current draw: 40mA
- 11000 RPM at 5V
To control/power the vibe are used just two wires. To make it buzz away, you can provide power from a battery or you can provide power from a microcontroller pin (blue is negative, red is positive).
This vibrating mini motor disc works from 2V up to 5V. Higher voltages will draw more current, but will also grant a stronger vibration.
To reduce the current draw/strength (to have a direct control from an Arduino pin, for example) try to put a 100 to 1000 ohms resistor in series.
To get full power control, try a small PN2222 transistor, as it can easily control a motor, but first some experimentation may be necessary.
