The USB to UART serial console cable is your ideal cable to access the Raspberry Pi from a computer or laptop. You will be able to access you RPI without having to hook it up to a screen, configure networking and find an extra keyboard and/or mouse.

Thanks to this single cable you will be able to directly connect to the serial console of your Raspberry Pi and power it, too. That is particularly useful with models where USB ports are limited and no Ethernet socket is available for networking.
