MicroUSB to 5.5/2.1mm DC Barrel Jack Adapter Cable

The MicroUSB to 5.5/2.1mm DC Barrel Jack adapter is a simple yet very useful cable. One end features a MicroUSB connector, whilst the other end features a 5.5mm/2.1mm DC barrel jack with positive polarity in the centre. This adapter cable allows you to connect a 5V power supply (2A, 4A or 10A) to devices that normally connect to a 5V USB port.

Warning: As there are no resistors or other data line components inside the adapter, this cable is not suitable for charging iPhones, iPods, iPads or other devices that require a resistor on the D+ and D- pins. However, it is perfect for powering Arduino boards, BeagleBone, Raspberry Pi, some generic mobile phones and Android devices, as well as most other USB-powered gadgets.

It is important to note that this adapter cable does not include any voltage regulator or surge protection. If you connect a 9V or 12V power supply, you risk damaging devices designed to operate at around 5V, so please take great care!
