Pogo-a-go-go: Solderless GPIO Pogo Pins
Do you need non permanent pins to use into different projects? Well, with these solderless GPIO Pogo Pins it will be possible. They can be easily switched around to serve different projects.
As these pogo GPIO pins, bolts, nuts and spacers do not need soldering, they grant a super-simple and quickest way to fit a pHAT on to your Raspberry Pi Zero v1.3 or Pi Zero W boards. Furthermore, no extra tools are required.
These solderless GPIO Pogo Pins are specially designed to be the perfect size to grant a firm electrical contact between the Raspberry Pi Zero serie’s boards and any pHAT.
If you have two projects which together require a total amount of less than 10 pins, by using only the two mounting holes closest to the header, you can make this kit turn into two projects at the same time. You should be creative and gentle. These solderless pins can be used only by boards which do not have a soldered header and that have enough space for the pins to make contact.
The Pogo-a-go-go Kit includes:
- 10x pogo GPIO pins
- 4x M2.5x12mm white nylon bolts
- 4x M2.5x7mm white nylon spacers
- 5x M2.5 white nylon nuts
Instructions to correctly use the solderless GPIO Pogo Pins
- Through this link pinout.xyz you find the pinout of many boards (such as pHATs and HATs) and can check out which are the pins used by the board you would like to get fit.
- From below of your Raspberry Pi board, insert the four bolts through the mounting holes.
- Slide the four spacers on.
- Put the pins with the short end in the Raspberry Pi’s GPIO, in the proper holes.
- Pop the pHAT on top.
- Adjust the bolts with their respective nuts.

IMPORTANT NOTES
Not all of the pHATS use less than 10 GPIO pins, some of the pHATS may require more pins, such as Explorer pHAT, pHAT BEAT and Automation pHAT, for instance.
DANGER – Keep away from small children.
These parts are small and are dangerous as they are not a toy and they can signify a choking hazard. Unsafe for children three years old and/or younger.
Pin length: ~9.5mm when extended, ~7mm compressed.
Pi Zero W and Unicorn pHAT are not included in the kit.
