5V to 3V Level Shifter QT
This fantastic level shifter breakout has two Stemma QT / Qwiic connectors, allowing you to use your Arduino UNO or another microcontroller with 5V logic safely with 3.3V logic accessories. When combining boards, you must be careful with voltages; in other words, you cannot interface 3V logic devices with 5V logic devices. This breakout board solves the problem straight away, without risking damage to your I2C sensors from excessively high voltages.
On one side of the Level Shifter board is the safe 5V power supply and its logic input. In the centre is a 3.3V regulator capable of supplying 500 mA, along with the level-shifting circuits. On the opposite side is the same I2C bus but at 3.3V, allowing it to be used with all sensors and devices that cannot operate at 5V.
Both STEMMA QT connectors on the board are compatible with I2C connectors. You can connect this board to a wide range of sensors and accessories using a compatible cable.
The “LED” jumper on the back is used to disable the breakout’s LED.
