Raspberry Pi NoIR Camera Module v2.1
The Raspberry Pi NoIR Camera Module v2.1 is a high-quality 8-megapixel camera based on the Sony IMX219 sensor. This high-quality module has been specifically designed for use with the Raspberry Pi development board and comes equipped with a fixed-focus lens that can be manually adjusted.
The NoIR Camera does not have an infrared filter on its lens, which is why it is called No InfraRed (NoIR). This makes it a perfect tool for infrared photography, especially for capturing images in low-light conditions or at dusk.
This camera module can capture still images at up to 3280 ร 2464 pixels and supports video modes at 1080p30, 720p60, and 640ร480p90.
Note: You can easily adjust the camera lens with this tool: Raspberry Pi Camera Focus Adjustment Tool (sold separately).
You can connect your camera to the RPI using a flat cable attached to the boardโs CSI port, a port dedicated exclusively to interfacing with camera modules.
It connects to the Raspberry Pi via a flat ribbon cable (included).
The Camera v2 NoIR is supported in the latest version of Raspbian, which is the preferred operating system for the RPI.
If you prefer the standard (with IR filter) version, see the Raspberry Pi Standard Camera Module v2.1.
