LM4040 Precision Voltage Reference – 2.048V and 4.096V
Not sure whether you can trust the accuracy of your multimeter? Or perhaps you need a reliable reference for your analogue converter? Or do you want to test the accuracy and precision of your microcontroller’s conversion? This board is ideal for those who need stable and precise voltage references to test and calibrate measuring instruments or analogue circuits.
This small breakout board features two high-precision shunt-type voltage references, with 750 ohm biasing resistors. One provides 2.048V (ideal for 3.3V reference systems) and the other 4.096V (perfect for 5V systems). Both offer an accuracy of 0.1%!
This board is a reliable, high-precision and very stable voltage reference. What’s more, it’s easy to use: simply power the board with a voltage between 5V and 12V, or 3V if you only want to use the 2V reference. Then, measure the output voltage.
Please note that this board is not a voltage regulator: you cannot power devices via the output, as the board is intended solely for taking measurements. For further details, please refer to the LM4040 datasheet.
