The bare board, without mounted components, is designed to be only 0.8mm thick. It can be soldered directly onto the Raspberry Pi\u2019s GPIO pins, to be used along with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pilover.com\/it\/categoria\/hat-phat-e-shim\/hat\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">HATs<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pilover.com\/it\/categoria\/hat-phat-e-shim\/phat\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">pHATs<\/a> on top.<\/p>\n<h3>How to use the OnOff Shim<\/h3>\n<p>You only have to plug your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pilover.com\/en\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">micro-USB power supply<\/a> into the micro-B connector located on the OnOff SHIM. After that, it is enough to press the button only once to switch power on and boot up the Raspberry Pi board. Install the software (whose link you find below), and then press the button and hold it down for one second. It controls the state of BCM pin 17 and, when you press the button, a clean shutdown is initiated.
